My God, the aliens have not only landed, they're setting up colonies in the Gulf! It's too unbelievable. I simply cannot comprehend the scale of that...that...

"These people have too much money for their own good."

So has GW Bush, in fact so much he spends 7 times more on military than education. Maybe thats better spending then investing in your cities future while the possibility is open...

Dubaiflo:

Where did you find that photo, and from which date is it? :O

Great Photo

That's an awesome photo. In my 20 years of being involved with Architecture, I had never seem construction at this scale. Oh, and George Bush SUCKS, I hope when the day comes that he dies it's slow and painful.

There is still an open space for a new island between PJumeria and PJAli. They could build Jaya (the skull island in One Piece) on it and make it away from the shore like The World.

it is difficult since this is DEWA and JAFZA area, it would be hard to access this island.

They remind me of the NAZCA lines. Aliens will use them as runways.

No seriously, great projects and the desert-like color of the land is great combined with the blue waters.

Makes you wonder about the ecological imlications of such mega-scale intrusions on the marine life there (if any still exists)

it actually creates so much sea life
in the area where the islands are being reclaimed is nothing

the new coastlines have attracted a lot of fish and sea life, from sharks to stingray to normal fish

we even had a whaleshark twice here in the dubai marina close to palm jumeirah
