Notre Dame is directly adjacent to South Bend, but it technically is it's own city and has it's own zip code and post office. People usually just say it's in South Bend for simplicity.

I'm surpised that with the except of one photo on the first post, no one has shown images of Cambridge university (The original U.K. one). It is simply stunning in it's layout and architecture

University of Western Ontario

I'm going to plug my school (already mentioned above by Pkiritha) the University of Western Ontario (UWO). Western won the Canada Communities in Bloom title for parks and institutional grounds, giving it the title Canada's most beautiful campus. This category in the competition included other universities in canada (such as UBC mentioned above) and National Parks.

Anyway, onto some pics:

The campus is very park-like and someone was fortunate to catch a deer running across one of the hills on campus. The low buildings across the edge of the field is the centre of campus.

This is a view diagonally across University College Hill towards UC, and the Tower (Which happens to be the university logo)

Some christmas lights on the large pine trees near the entrance to UC

for anyone interested, the university has a Flickr photostream of pictures on campus here (where you can find the source of the above pictures): http://www.flickr.com/groups/western/pool/

Cambridge University is stunning. Some of those photos look like fantasy worlds from movies. Amazing photos.

For me, Oxford and Cambridge have no equals in this respect. The quality of architecture is unsurpassed.

I mean, both are university cities, not just campusses!

As Cambridge has already been done I'll do Oxford:

Cambridge and Oxford are sooooooo beautiful. Thanks for posting the pix!

It is amazing how much architecture in Eastern Canadian cities (Toronto, Ottawa
and Montreal) was influenced by Scottish architects, like what we saw in those Glasgow pictures..

Most of the universities presented above belong to the first class of educational institutions and the photos are really great!

Anyway here are some photos from the 3d largest university of Greece , University of Patras. Though its a quite new university (1964) and most of the buildings are not of great architecture the site of the campus is one of the nicest. The campus is located in a beautiful setting at the foot of mount Panachaico with a view over the Gulf of Corinth to the mountains of Central Greece across the water.

This is the only modern university presented in here, how come Ppl please give us more modern uni pics. Most of the other presented universities are too old, quite boring and, not to mention, conservative.

Royal Holloway, West London set in 120 acres of stunning landscaped parkland - the adjoining lake houses Roman ruins, cenotaphs, totem poles, waterfalls and is a flood of colour in may as every bush blooms (theyre all azaleas and rhododendrons)

I'd have to vote for the University of Cape Town, South Africa and the University of Toronto.
