I will stay silent here, because I don't know how I feel about the project.

Any renderings yet?

This building can only help Burgas in the long run. It will definitely attract attention and business investment will follow afterwards. It's about time they make up their minds and stay firm on the decision. Just build it!!

Well the house was here...the marked circle...I am from Burgas. The restaurant was a great place...

Behind the new building there is a comi-complex with mostly very tall blocks...20 floors, so the building will not be exactly out of place as many ppl say. Plus this part of the Sea garden is the least developed area of the park. It is full of cheap sea-type pubs. It won't be a huge loss if you asked me.
I am for it, if they build a nice building and manage to tight it up with the surroundings and develope this area of the park. It could end up being really nice or a complete debacle.

wait, the guy doesn't know what the tower will look like yet?
From what I understood, he just got the permit to built a 150m tower at that location, but still hasn't made any plans, instead he just picked a tower in Dubai that he likes.
Ouch, that's bad, I prefer him to hire an architect and make his own tower, than make a copy of a Dubai tower. Even if that tower is looking good.

But what makes me laugh are these nimbys and the so called 'protectors' of architecture, who wish to 'preserve' Burgas and that house.
It's some ugly copy of a house nobody cares about, and now some 'investor' is willing to spend his 'hard earned' money for a building Burgas can be proud of.
Except for ancient ruins, Bulgaria hasn't had any interesting architecture in the last centuries, except for some occasional buildings like the Ivan Vazov Opera house I really like. Otherwise, I wouldn't mind razing the whole country.

^lol
I think he uses this tower in Dubai to illustrate to the public that there are many skyscrapers built at the beach(WOW what a news, but i guess a big % of the Bulgarians are rednecks anyway , and i made a comment-you know hadzhi stoicho i 3 etazhnia mu nebostargach na selo ) As far as i know there is already a team of architects that is working on the design of the tower and he's just trying to convince the general public in Burgas to accept it.

If they wait too long, the project will never realize and this opportunity will not come again in the future. hopefully the investor acts soon and they lay the foundation.

Today they started to dismantle the house on the spot where the future skyscraper is going to be build(well i think after all it is really going to be build)The plan is to restore it's parts and rebuild the house inside the skyscraper.
And the good news is that the Union of architects in Bourgas is not protesting anymore against this project and they are pleased with the decision of the investor(or he just paid them money to shut their mouths up )
this is the house

lol, money solves a lot of things, not only in Bulgaria
I really like the idea of putting back the house inside the skyscraper, that way the guy knows tourists would be interested in visiting, to see that old house inside the new structure, and that way, hop, he caught them for the mall or other stores he'll build there.
I don't know how big this house really is, but this could mean a huge ass base for the tower, or maybe he'll just build the tower on a platform, like so many others are, retails on a horizontal skyscraper downstairs, and offices/hotels (what's going to be the real use of the tower anyway?) on the vertical skyscraper upstairs

^They said they'll take it apart and store it.
Then once the skyscraper is built, with a special vast area for the house, they'll put it back together inside.
As easy as that, just like when you have those giant dinosaur fossils in natural history museums, they assemble them inside.
I'll see if I can find a picture to explain it better

^there still aren't any, because the investor still hasn't decided what he wants exactly.
He just wants something 150m tall, but still hasn't picked an architect yet, so this could take a while.
And of course, they've just started taking apart that house, so they can't start before. Not to mention that there isn't any know-how in Bulgaria on building anything that big, so that will take a while too.
