I have wodered for awhile which of these two magnificent towers the good people of these boards thought was superior. This is a battle for best designed future supertall for Europe.

London: Shard/London bridge 310m

Demolition of current site is due by Autumn:

Moscow: Complex Federation Tower 340m

Under construction:

The Moscow tower looks more futuristic than the LBT.

Yup. As much as I love LBT, I think Federation is a more impressive building.

Federation looks so sleek, so as much as I love LBT i'm going to have to go with Federation.

They're both amazing, but I prefer the Federation better.
Although Europe's getting some more supertalls in Ukraine and Istanbul

Both look great in their own way. I like the fact that they have unique and interesting designs. I can't wait to see these two rise.

For right now I would say the Federation. The Shard might look a little better in its enrivorment then the Fedration when completed though. The Federated looks more to me like it belongs in the Middle East or soemthing.

Yeah, 310m isn't supertall. However, for European cities, it is. Of the two proposals, I prefer the Shard. It's a beautiful design that carries its height quite well and will interact nicely with the surrounding London low-rise cityscape, which is always an important consideration in European cities.

In Spain as well with the three Calatrava towers in Valencia, one of them will be 308 meters tall (a supertall for European standards I guess).

By the way, I thought that LBT was 306 meters at the spire not 310 meters. Can someone confirm this? Personnaly I prefer LBT although it is shorter...

I prefer the LBT. It's not really a supertall, though (top floor at 235m...)

The Shard for me - I think that there's an almost awkward quality about the Dubai Towers, but I suppose I'll have to see them when they're completed to really appreciate the buildings. The Federation Complex buildings are quite amazing as well, but I think that it's high time for London to build something that is architecturally suberb.
