The london britisch tower is the prettiest i guess, although the diamond of istanbul is nice to, but it remainds me of that hotel in dubai, so not very original.

I don't think we've ever seen anything like LBT before. I don't like Moscow Federation building, the curvy shape seems generic

HERMITAGE PLAZA (will be Europe's tallest mixed use towers, 323m x2)
Works: summer 2011
Delivery: late 2015/early 2016

La Défense, Paris

Obviously, I'm being a bit chauvinistic but honestly, I think those twin towers look fantastic, I'm really looking forward to them as they will be iconic and will bring some life & activities in La Défense which really need it. In other respects, I like Moscow's Mercury Tower a lot, and The Shard of London as well (even though I'm waiting for the Pinnacle even more).

Definitely not, it's got worst glass among all built and u/c supertalls in Europe. Way too cheap. Actually none of European supertalls is nice. All of them turned out much worse than they were on renders.

Europe is old continent...We used to see castles, small towns and old cities...It takes time to get used to see supertall around..

How much is the glass and what is it about it that is worse than all the built and u/c supertalls in Europe?? Also LBT is not finished - how can it have turned out worse than on the renders? Methinks your post lacks any credibility and also think this thread has become an arena for the numbskulls to bash each others cities..

There is already cladding for a dozens of floors. When finished we will able to say how good is it looks from away. Now we already can say it's doesn't look good when looking close to it.

When you say "we", who are you talking about? Is that just your London bashing mentality leaking out? I think it looks excellent.

Hermitage Plaza is gorgeous by the way.. my favorite.

Thanks for your nice comments folks!

Furthermore, I don't know many skyscrapers whose sideways's view actually is the front view of the building(with the exact dimensions) but on the other way round (picture below):

These skyscrapers in Belgrad and Prishtina don't qualify as supertalls.

I didn't know about Hermitage Plaza. That looks extremely promising. A very likely candidate to take the crown of the best skyscraper in the future.

And, coth, what's exactly wrong with The Shard? The glass looks fine to me. In fact I think it must be the best cladding I have seen of any major tower in Europe: transparent and good quality. Certainly not "cheap". At the moment, however, it' very dirty.

Also, I guess it may be a matter of taste. I prefer clear and transparent (i.e. non-reflective) facades which make buildings look lighter and fit better into the environment.

The only problem I see with Shard is the location - it was perhaps impossible to find a worse spot for a new skyscraper in London. Central London (including the City) chronically suffers from insufficient infrastructure and is way too much overcrowded. Building even more towers it will only get worse. It should have been built in Canary Wharf.

That tower in Kosovo is not tall enough, but it sure looks cool.
