You don't necessarily need to know the architect when he and the developer publicly admit their inspiration for the project

When I went into the sales centre, the saleswoman mentioned that it would look similar to the towers in the TD Centre. One of the largest suite models is called the "Mies".

It is an elementary observation to anyone who has studied any International Style architecture.
But your statement reminds me of a friend of mine who is an expert in antiques. People are forever saying to him: "Whadda ya mean it is 300 years old? How do you know????".

I've driven by it a number of times in the past week alone and no the excavation has not started, but the work on the site to prep it has.

They are continuing to prep the site for excavation. You can see Verve rising in the distance.

A little sarcasm ... carrying on your above jibe at Winnipegpatriot.

Perhaps I was extending a bit for anyone to catch it. Will try for slapstick humour next time.

What building is this? A bit on the "suburban" side, but I like it!

Ive always loved this building, for those people who aren't from toronto, its especially impressive because it sits above rosedale and looks amazing coming down mountpleasant/jarvis. Maybe we could get some better pics up?

I've always loved that building, even I was a kid.
The roof reminds me of the Parliamentary Library.
