That is what I was thinking... Every skyscraper there needs glass instead of some cheap cardboard wrapped in a plastic coat. Glass makes it look futuristic, even if its a tall box, but to have that is just unbelievable. If USSR was still around I bet they would seize the property for distorting communism and built the USSR Tower... USSR Tower lol Imagine Russia Tower with red tinted glass, and the rest painted in gold for the Soviet flag's colors.

Russia Tower standing alone with red or black cladding would be so amazing...

Red and shiny gold metal would be best in my opinion... I could imagine that on a sunset, would look so great... maybe with a few floors of lights turned on...

Yes, Joseph, more red color to Moscow would be nice Really, that cancelled project of Moscow government building, in red and with huge "M" letter was interesting. Not too bright red color can look very good.

The new magazine cover for tourist's heading to Moscow in our alternate history of USSR becoming the winner in the Cold War, or being reborn again.

USSR never built anything with glass

I'd just imagine it being a very tall commieblock

Tall commieblock??
Moscow University. 'Nuff said.

But I wish 15IBC would have some red cladding. I like the new, curved proposal (it is less overbearing, and cluttered) but it would be amazing with red glass. Although its site is pretty bad for a red skyscraper, because it is already close to an orange building. It should have been on the other side of the MIBC.

Not completely from glass, but Moscow government building was built during 1963-1970:

On next picture, you can see it on the left, in front of soviet tall commieblock

"Hydroproject building" (1965-1968):

Moscow University is a good example of Stalinist architecture which ended soon after Stalin's death in 1953. In Stalin's times, it would be look so:

In post-Stalin times, it would be look like buildings from previous post.

If they still lived up to this day, they would have done so by now.

Is there any information on the height of the new towers? Maybe someone with Russian language skills can create a new thread for the new proposal. At least they build something on the plot, of course nothing compared to Russia Tower, but my hopes that they actually realize it died long ago

I would rather have nothing on that plot than have those. That way they can start Russia Tower if they ever get the money for it.

There is no other place for it. Unless they expand the IBC but I don't think they'll do that.

There are plans to expand the area to neighborhoods surrounding the IBC (many are old industrial areas), but as of now the mayor isn't going to allow any building taller than 75 metres.

Building which taller than 75m are allowed, but with more bureaucracy.
