thats the original rendering I doubt its the new one as the new project calls for 4 crescent shaped passenger halls south of the international airport. I agree the equivalent of $300 million US wont be able to do half of what they want.

I appologize, but I'm not totally yp to date with this project. My question is, have they not been talking about building/renovating this airport for a while now? Why is it taking so long? Is this gonna happen or not?

all the best to jeddah the city i fell in love with.
but the current airport is huge and can be modernised and it is not far from the city ive used it myself

Pretty ambitious project but my beef with the Saudi airports is not always with infrastructure but the attitude of the people who work there....let's hope at the new airport they'll treat us like customers and not criminals..

Who said so? Expension already started but only the halls now for 1 year and half and then the expension of airstrips and so on will be started to be finished inshallah within 5 years.

LOL... it seems plenty of people have stuff to say about Jeddah Airport service. I thought I was experiencing something weird.

5 years for the 30 million capacity terminal still seems like a long wait if you think about their current facilities.
