I wouldn't doubt if Tokyo wins this one! But I would disagree on why Dubai is more futuristic than Hong Kong, Seoul or Shanghai.

I was about to pic Dubai, but there's something about Tokyo that is superior.

Oh yeah, downtown LA is in the mist of shooting the Fast and the Forious 3, where LA takes Tokyo's place.

I'll have to go with tokyo on this one. Cities like dubai is not really futuristic. It only looks futuristic. Tokyo on the other hand looks and FEELS futuristic.

Nice one! There's a different between look and feel! Dubai has a futuristic look but the feeling there is simple kinda like most mid-size US cities like Miami.

Shanghai because:
Tokyo: in future no economics boom and negative population growth
Dubai: not so much international and the geographic location is unattractive(for example sandstorms in the deserts)
Seoul: Economics going back
Hongkong: no more place for others!!!
Shanghai: Economics growth with 12-14% in year, over 150 new skyscrapers in year, population growth very fast

I dont understand why a futuristic city has to be all techno? Can't a futuristic city be GREEN and peaceful. Cos at the moment the way this world is heading i dont think the "future" governments will let the continuity of metropolitan cities as it will mess up the OZONE LAYER. I know it sounds as if im a tree hogger but you cant just call futuristic somet tats in the movies, u hav to be realistic. now thats food for thought

It can, but most of the contenders in this poll fits your description

Especially Tokyo and Seoul. Both are peaceful, clean and high-tech as well

Definately Shanghai - The whole city screams "futuristic." Just look at that crazy Pearl Tower, or "Tomorrow square."

When I compare HK and Shanghai, I find HK more futuristic especially in skyline, way of life and infrastructure!

But I'll go with Tokyo this time

My list:

Tokyo
Dubai
Hong Kong
Seoul
Shanghai

What the hell is so futuristic about Shanghai? It has the Pearl Tower and the Jin Mao... What else?

Tokyo: Electronics capital of the world, Shinkansens, modern buildings
Dubai: Crazy projects (talking about completed ones), modern buildings
Hong Kong: Tall scrapers, crazy lights, modern buildings
Seoul: 2nd Electronics capital of the world, everyone is connected, modern buildings, high speed train
Shanghai: Maglev, 2 modern towers ...

BTW- Anyone notice this section is very similar to the City Vs City section?
