I think that the design of Al Burj is better, but its color makes it look washed out in the day picture.

Burj Dubai - Classic pin shape with fabulous spire.........
Al Durj - Nice unique shape with gaps in the middle...............

Al-Burj, IMHO, is much more creative. Burj Dubai really looks too fanciful, like its just a bunch of tubes put in a three-leaf pattern. I can see its charm, but I really prefer a more practical (and fresher) design like Al-Burj.

they both look equally fantastic

i have a vision that when both are constructed, it will look a bit like lord of the rings:the two towers...with both towers complimenting each other in the distance

Burj Dubai. Al Burj is overrated, IMO.

Burj Dubai as it is in the stages of being built. Once they start Al Burj I may reconsider.

Burj Dubai for sure. Al-Burj is nice too, but not as iconic as BD.

I like Burj dubai more, It's slender and it moves its way to the top. Al burj seems somewhat uninspired.

Both, er, stacked on top of each other, with a giant concrete palm on top of the spire, with an actual size Eiffel Tower on one frong, and the 3 pyramids, which glow in the dark, on another frong, built in the middle of the sea, with an underground airport and a Costa Coffee with free Wi-fi access in the giant 20 storey lobby.
