FLL the best skyline in FLA.... hum I would disagree with that. The River tower looks a little out of place with the rest of downtown.... not my fav.

Aren't we a bit off topic? This isn't the Florida Skyline discussion thread...

Looking good Orlando....
I was just down in the "O" for the weekend visiting family and I managed to take a quick 30-45 min. drive thru downtown on Fri. As I was driving westbound on I-4, I quickly noticed that there were many cranes up since my last visit. I must say that Orlando is shaping up pretty nicely, now that The Vue is topped out and Dynetech along with 55 West rising up as well. Btw, does anyone happen to know what the status is with the lot just north of the BOA bldg. on N. Orange Ave.?? Seems like a prime location for a nice hi-rise project, if it is possible.

Fort Lauderdale looks like your average beach condo community, not a city. But I digress ...

![]() I agree about Riverhouse, Dale. That bldg. has three sections, 2 black and one white (facing away from New River. WTF were the architects thinking? Why not make it all black? If they did, it would have been one of the most stunning in FLA. It reminds me of Lake Point Tower. But, they didn't. ![]() I don't understand how FT.L's downtown looks bigger than Orlando... I guess we're not doing a good enough job of posting photos. I'll fix that. |

Here's a couple of shots... some crude b/c of obvious reasons... but I think they give a general illustration of my prior point about not understanding why people think Ft.L's downtown looks bigger than the ORL:

Nice work, jz!
This is the first time I've actually come to realize how dense Orlando has become. I was certainly guilty of assuming that Orlando was merely "urban sprawl" with a few towers. Just goes to show what I know.

MOST OF THOSE PICTURES YOU POSTED CONTAIN ALMOST THE SAME BUILDING(SUNTRUST).
I HAVE NOTHING AGAINST THE ORLANDO SKYLINE AND TO BE HONEST I THINK FORT LAUDERDALES' SKYLINE IS ALMOST THE SAME BUT MORE DENSE, MORE BUILDINGS, AND MORE SPREAD OUT. LET ME SHOW YOU SOME PICTURES OF FORT LAUDERDALE ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
