^No, unfortunately. But again, interior is where it counts the most.
Hopefully something will be done if Penn Station entrance is moved to the Post Office. |

Is it every getting a new cladding? They should add LED lights, just like the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam.
Might work out pretty damn well on MSQ.

LovelyForget, are we keeping this here until Phase 3 is done, or can it be moved to completed?

Do they have any plans of replacing those old spalding backstops? I personally can't wait for that new scoreboard though.

Some of them do have cup holders. Maybe the rest will get added later on.
![]() ![]() Whilst the company that supplied the new seats certainly owns the market in terms of seating for indoor arenas and stadiums: http://www.irwinseating.com/installations/ |

Seems like in the wide shot, the cup holders are mounted in the back of the armrest..

I think the new seating arrangement is fantastic - love it. Something about the separation of the lower tier from the upper level adds a bit of modernity without taking too much from MSG's charm.

I guess Im in the minority in saying the left over upper tier/balcony area doesnt match the rest of the renovations.
As in my previous post, the "floating" balconies reminds me of the Air Canada Centre. Just looks odd just floating there.... Actually, the whole renovation reminds me of the ACC, (lower bowl, suites/lounge area, upper bowl) The balcony areas look very cramped and claustrophobic with certain overhangs and the saggy ceiling of MSG just bowing down at you. Im thinking MSG should of went Staples Center style and built three rows of suites and got rid of the balconies up top and just added actual seats all the way around the area. My 2 cents.... |

I think that's not possible, the roof of the Staples Center is much higher than in the MSG. You can't put 3 Rows of suites in there, there would be no space anymore for an upper bowl.

How hard would it be to raise the roof a bit?

Please, tell me this ( awesome ) stadium wasn't built over this magnificent station... The one who had this idea should be ashamed... A great loss, the old Penn Station...
