Judging by the recent construction updates posted on the transformation website, new escalator was installed, the stone facade on the east side was removed, and a new box office and the 1879 Club are being built.

I'm going to the NYR - Montreal game Tuesday night. I'll check out what's going on. I hate that stupid bridge they are planning.

I hope this MSG transformation is going to be thorough enough for it to continue to be one of the premier arenas in the entire world.

I think the renovations are going give it a really generic seating bowl compared to what it currently there, however they are planning to keep the really lovely ceiling and the concourses/public spaces in general look like they will be much better.

There where some real architectural sins committed world wide in the 1960s...

...This is one of them!

My bet is that the renovation will destroy the interior charm that MSG IV currently affords.

I never knew how beautiful the original Penn Station was. Building that domed-monstrosity over that? Wow.

1. Checked the MSG transformation website and saw that a temporary roof was being installed.

2. I was thinking of a transformation of the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and its seating bowl similar to the MSG transformation. (MSG-indoor, LAMC-outdoor)
