A thought; what do they do with the boards during basketball games?
In the vids on youtube you see them raising them with wires, but when you look at the roof, they're not there?

And the retired number-shirts; are those taken away aswell?

As work continues on the Transformation of The World's Most Famous Arena, we appreciate your patience as we make progress on the 6th floor concourse expansion.

We are pleased to inform you that beginning with our game on Thursday, February 17th, against the Kings, the Club Escalators located on the Club Terrace level with access to 6th floor concourse will now be available for use by those Subscribers and guests who have tickets in Club locations.

For those who plan to attend the game, please note that the following areas on the 6th floor concourse continue to have limited to no access:

This transformation will be challenging. How is the current bowl going to be dismantled in phases in a short period of time to make way for the new two-tiered bowl? We shall wait and see this summer...

Not sure about the boards but the retired numbers and banners should stay in the same place. In most arena's half the side has NBA banners and the other half NHL.

What boards are you talking about? Hockey boards?

Im afraid the renovations will kill the uniqueness of the current layout.
I love the way it looks now

Why is Madison Square Garden called that if it is a circle?

And I hate this building for destroying Penn Street, and being hideously ugly!

I was up at MSG for the game today and just got back from the airport. I can understand the idea that it shouldn't be changed for nostalgic reasons, but that was the most cramped arena I've ever been in. I'm looking forward to visiting MSG when renovations are complete, because it wasn't a great experience (not even considering the loss in my assessment).

A lot of the people I talked to were excited about the renovations.

Where were you sitting? Almost everyone I know up in the blue seats hates the complete renovation. Only thing needed fixing were the bathrooms.

In May, June, July, August, and September of 2011, the construction crews will have only five months to demolish the lower bowl and build the new one. Give them all the time they have. The last look at the original lower bowl was on April 17.

So this round will give us new lower bowl, the ground level and 6th floor suites and new locker rooms for Rangers and Knicks.

That was because the Knicks and Rangers were in the playoffs.
