Hey Araneta, you are going too far. Never call those figures manipulated because I got those from SM Prime itself.

Okay, once again, to flush all the confusion in your minds:

LEASABLE AREA - FLOOR AREA - MALL
185,799 sqm. / 331,861sqm. - SM City North EDSA
184,411 sqm. / 331,679sqm.- SM Megamall Ortigas
142,146 sqm. / 386,000sqm. - SM Mall of Asia

So if you consider both Leasable Area and Floor Area, those 3 malls above aren't really one of the largest. But hey, who cares about those large malls? Just for as long as we are contented with what we have, just for as long as we get what we need, that is fine. Having large malls shouldn't be considered as a status symbol. Consider the saying "Quality over Quantity", in the same way, I would rather be glad if I have a rather medium-sized mall with all the services and commodities I need.

Carrying your chairs for whatever reason you have won't really help. Let us all just accept the fact that nothing is perfect. We should all realize that these imperfections should be understood well so as to make room for improvements.

Alright guys, please calm down, and take a deep breath. By the way, we are in a photo forum, so let the photos speak for themselves, no need to exaggerate on stuff. You may have your own opinion but please respect that other people have their own too, it's just a matter of having a bit of respect for eachother. If these childish postings go on, I will be forced to have this thread locked. Okay, that's all. Good day.

Whoah! That Mall of Asia is impressive! And the interior design is better than any other SE Asian malls I’ve seen on the pictures. Probably have better stores too. I know most Filipinos have good taste, if not better. I saw on another thread the picture of the Olympic size Ice skating Ring, it’s Fabulous!

Hehehe anyway the Philippines has been developing shopping malls/centers since the 70's so I guess with time comes experience. Granted many brand spanking new mall developments are happening across Asia and the world, it is the same way in the Philippines with new malls sprouting like wild mushrooms and old shopping centers renovated and updated. Thanks to the Filipinos in the Philippines insatiable appetite for shopping with the help of overseas Filipinos sending remittances to the Philippines this year amounting to around $10.5 billion US dollars.

Oh and regarding Mall of Asia, something there is definitely worth seeing, the bay promenade with its row of al fresco restaurants having a view of the sunset in Manila bay. Now that is priceless and hard to beat. I dont care for shopping but I'm definitely more intersted in the over 150? (give and take) restaurants in that mall.

I totally agree with you jbkayaker12. I've been in this area and it's so relaxing to the bars near the bay. The Mall of Asia has a very strategic location to attracts people.

Sorry to disappoint you but your information is totally wrong!!
Did you read my previous posts carefully?!!!!

For Central World, 550,000 sqm is for shopping mall alone!!
It's total area including offices, hotel, and convention hall is 800,000 sqm.

Can you still insist that SM MOA is larger than Central World??

I don't know why some people love to brag about SM MOA when it's actually not that great.
(sorry again to other Filipinos)

Hope it's clear!
WHAT'S DIS FORUMER MUMBLING ABOUT?, COULD YOU JUST PLS STOP AND DO YOUR OWN BUSINESS. BUT IF UR GAY, I WOULDN'T BE SURPRISED ON YOUR MUMBLING
whoa...whoa...no need for personal attack!
(There's nothing wrong with being gay. But by the way you post, I take it as an insult.)

which is totally wrong.
So I just gave him a fact. What did I do wrong?
And what I said about SM Mall of Asia is MY OPINION! (and I know many people would agree.) For me, Greenbelt is far more impressive.

i just love greenbelt. it's the best mall in the PI so far. just hope the proposed trinoma would be better.

& SM MOA is quite impressive too, it has the size but it lacks the signature clothes, bags and shoes like that of kl or singapore. but i got to understand that the malls target market is the middle class. i heard the 2nd pyrotechnic olympics thingy will be held along its esplanade this week i think. that sounds fun tho.

glorietta is fabulous too. the shangrila mall in my opinion needs a major facelift. i mean its exterior but still love the interiors tho.

siam paragon looks high end. and the mall design is great. about the new year bombing in bkk. i got to agree that the media is exagerating things. well what can i say, exagerating makes money right?

CWP looks cool too. can anyone post some of the international brands from the mall? i would love to know them.=)

Unfortunately I won't be seeing the new wing of Greenbelt when I visit this March but I really like the restaurants in the park. It was also interesting to have the Ayala Museum at Greenbelt. Nice touch indeed.

In my Opinion, Greenbelt 3 is a fusion of street shopping and a mall. The mall is not enclosed in the 4 walls of the usual mall like SM. That's what I always love to go to Greenbelt 3.

i think no matter what country its at or how large it could be, what matters is the experience one gets when going to a mall... whether it might be in manila or bangkok , each would have an edge over another and that is inevitable. it's quite funny to see people here killing each other just to prove who has better...

so... forumers... shut up and post the pictures!

It doesn't mean you can insult me just because you don't want to read arguments. Did the arguments came from me only? You should also suggest your Filipino friend not to repeat posting wrong data, so I and other Filipinos, such as Jhaelnis, don't have to correct it again and again.
