Yep, Guangzhou is looking better every year! It's becoming a very exciting skyline to watch evolve and these new towers are just amazing! Love the mountains in that last photo ... just a great backdrop to the city. Great photos guys

It's interesting to see the big blocks of "old China" shantytown still surviving in GZ's construction boom. In the past decades many of these were replaced by government housing and now the private sector is making huge changes to the cityscape.

Well finally they just realized that there were few of them and now they want to preserve them!

12 years ago, guangzhou skyline maybe the first in mianland china, but now, shanghai obviously ahead, and chongqing closely behind. guangzhou need these kind of supertowers.

Are there any observation decks in Tianhe to capture some of the posted shots?

I noticed in the backround of the one picture that the Guanzhou tv and observation tower is almost done! I hadn't any idea that it was nearly topped-out. The city is becoming quite a landmark indeed. Even with the design change, I can't wait to watch the Guanzhou East tower rise in a couple of years!

I don't mind GZ behide the speed of development compare to Shanghai or Chongqing cousins. As long as they have a careful planning, that is matter the most. So far, they're doing a good job.
