I would hope for this senario. A 30-50m difference in the towers would make them disticnctive even if they share the same design. Ive never been a fan of identical twin towers as I feel its too uniform, especially in hight. A 30-50m difference would also not dwarf either tower either.

the west tower was named Guangzhou international financial center,GZIFC
the beautiful white building the Ritz-Carlton Hotel of Guangzhou behind the GZIFC










At last ,next to GZIFC is Guangzhou Opera House design BY ZAHA HADID..so great ~~~~~~

opera revival in CHina? Seems to me many CHinese cities are building opera houses.

btw, how tall is the west tower now? and why don't they just call it the west tower, those "international financial centre" are really becoming too trite to hear.

The opera will be a nice building with the Twin's close by, and especially with the Guangzhou Museum just by too.

OMG the perimeter looks like Guangzhou TV tower except not twisted

This will be one cool tower if the whole perimiter will be like that.

The diagonal grid at the base and the climbing cranes connected to the core remind me a lot of the u/c supertall in town: the TV tower! But West Tower will have a sligthly convex curve, instead of a concave one... and with 3 cranes it could grow even faster than the TV tower
