Not sure, but they'll make both towers identical I guess.

Two identical towers would be best for the skyline there imo

This is a design concept for two indentical Towers.
It wouldn't make any sense to increase the height of the second Tower and destroy the whole design concept within.
I can't understand why they even think about increasing just the second Tower's height.
If they really think about increasing anything they should increase both Towers to 700 m.
Wouldn't that be great?

The tubular structure is great, and paradoxical in a way. Have you noticed how the pipes follow a seemingly straight route but they actually go around a corner?

This pic was taken several weeks ago, so it doesn't represent the current progress.

Actually I found a serial of pics about the current progress of the Guangzhou pearl river city. Maybe someone can upload them to a faster server and create a new thread in SSC.

from the pic ,you can see the west tower is higher than R&F CETER(245m),, so i'm sure that it's a new pic ..it could be taken between april 28 to may 3..

I think the wester tower appears to be higher is because of the angle that the pic was taken.

The original thread was posted on 2008-03-02, so I believe these pics were taken before that date.
