Is this external ribbing on the edge of the tower common or they do it a lot just in Guangzhou?

Not that I know of. I think it's interesting though - it kinda looks like the tower is holding itself in, like it's keeping itself from collapsing.

The enormous construction programs going on in Guangzhou right now are just very, very impressive. As is the speed with which do undertake their construction programs.

I never knew the interior structure of this tower. So between the core and outer ribbing, is there truss to support floors (like former WTC) or there's skeleton of steel between (like sears tower) if you get what I mean.
