Thats truly a massive footprint but thats not only for the tower its for the podium too if i remember the renderings correctly.

The largest hole I have seen...Maybe it is also for the underground tranmission system...
I know the most advanced automatic transmission system is being built in the new pearl river city

with 104 stories office building,how many year will it take to fill up the office room?that mean after the building is finish,Guangzhou may have stop all construction of office building.( unless it offer a very cheap rent.)

The cofferdam shows the location of the tower also, those area congested with 2~3m dia bored piles should be the footprint of the tower, while the rest should be mall or carpark.

Why do you say that? Guangzhou has a population comparable to those of Chicago or Hong Kong.

China's economy is growing at 10 percent each year. So, by the time this building is ready for occupancy, it would have grown by at least 30 percent.
