Well even if they were of slightly different height that would be alright, and a different color could be nice...
Even the WTC twins were not exactly twins, actually... one had a big antenna, the other had none... one was some 4 meters taller than the other... they were overall twins nonetheless... any way, BROS

Why not a +600m similar tower? (to have something like one & two IFC )

that crossed my mind as well, West Tower has a very characteristic style. It would be a waste not to emphasize that with a similar partner. Together with the TV Tower, it would be the architectural face of Guangzhou.

actually, it might look cool if there was an LED screen that had text scrolling around the building...

Well, speaking as a Wilkinson Eyre fan, at least the east tower design makes the west tower look even better.

Seriously, these east tower proposals are pretty shite. Sure they're tall, but there's none of the grace or elegance of the west tower. Does anyone know who the architects are?

I'm amazed none comented anything of these stuning pictures. They made me realize that Guanzhou has an already very mature skyline and at a very large scale. Surprising for a city that most average westener has never heard of.

These pictures gave me for the first time a real fanciness to actually visit Guanzhou.

Guangzhou is China's third largest city after Shanghai and Beijing. But I think it has much more scrapers than Beijing.

chongqing has more 100+ 150+ than guangzhou but guangzhou has more 200+ than chongqing, especially 300+ and 400+,which chongqing does not have now.

BUT chongqing is surely catching up!
