go on......

by the way,the photo-taker released a piece of blasting news..the technical engineer told him that the actual height of west tower is 10m taller than the officially released height..meaning the height of west tower is 432+10=442m... aiming to surpass Kingkey center which is being built in Shenzhen(439m)..

Hahaha, i love those races, this rivalry between GZ and SZ. The title says 338 though, so now there are three different heights.

Well, if that's correct, this would be great news, since West Tower would end up being taller than Sears Tower and only 1 meter short of the tip of the Spire of the Empire State Building

Yes, really true. The two towers are supposed to add beauty to the entire cityscape. If they were closer, then they would be taking too much attention from the rest of the buildings like the world trade centre and the petronas

Explosions shockwaves

A bit off-topic, to all of you guys staying in Guangzhou, what are those recent explosions that rock the Tianhe District almost on the daily basis? Seems like they come from Zhujiang New City area, the place where they are building the tower...

Well, a 20-year old man died to a cellphone battery explosion two weeks ago in Guangzhou... but I think the skyscrapers survived...

But seriously, very sad what happened to that young man.

I live near Tianhe Sports Center and for the last few months, every afternoon, you can hear and feel some explosions. I can't figure out exactly from where, but seems like the Zhujiang New City with their construction boom would be the best place to start.
