There aren't many true twin towers in the world, but lately due to more projects being done by private companies and the financial climate of the last decade (not talking about the crisis), projects tend to be phased and while it usually doesn't entail twin towers, this time however, it does. that is some what true. Most of the worlds tallest twin tower, were built by their state and or country.

Actually the tallest twin towers present (Petronas), were built by 2 different companies. (Petronas and Samsung I beleive)

This one is too expensive. Thus, pointless. A private investor will take many years to recover his costs and a government will be worried about the people revolting.

yes it is, but will not be due to the east tower...
a little advise for the second Q: Citic Plaza, TV tower, west tower..you can go to Mount Baiyun if have time..hope some guangzhou people will help you

its the tallest structure for sure, but IDK maybe towers dont belong to the 'builings' group.
