That's a model Gothic did a couple of years ago for his website. Good work isn't it? It's not up to date anymore though with a lot of the schemes changing designs.

The observation tower was never a real proposal, just something that Gothic dreamed up to fill a gap.

That yellow tower was one of Will Alsop's weird and wonderful creations.

I think that picture of Canary Wharf, though outdated, still looks bloody amazing, and the observation tower actually looks appropriate and stylish there...i say we make the creator of that picture the new mayor for London

I think Ken's a fabulous leader - one to cherish. Who would've thought 10 years ago that London would be preparing to host the Olympics, a new Wembley would be under construction and Europe leading not only Europe but in some cases the world in architecture of skyscrapers

Kens the man - get him up to Birmingham.

^ pariase Ken. And to think, we got a whole 9 more years more with him . And since his a skyscrpaer enthusiast, that gives investors plenty of time to use him to their advantage

Ken may be a skyscraper enthusiast, it won't change the fact that it is up to the market to "decide" whether these proposals are going ahead or not. I also believe he did not have any other options than to be a skyscraper enthusiast in order to keep London as the European financial centre and to boost jobs. Do not over-rate the role of policitians.

There is a French saying "on ne doit pas vendre la peau de l'ours avant de l'avoir tué" that is "don't try to sell the bear's skin before killing it".

I meant in terms of skyscrapers. At the end of the day, there must be someone to finance the scheme and there must be someone to let the space at a price that would enable the developer to make a profit out of it that would be higher than for an alternative building, say a groundscraper.

Having skyscrapers doesn't dictate how good a financial centre a city is. Even if London wasn't building lots of new skyscrapers it would still be Europe's leading financial centre.

There's an old English saying that goes along the lines of "Don't kill bears you idiot!"

That is my favourite render of London, though heron should be taller, and i think there should be more buildings in Canary Wharf?
