Poiman, I would tell you to go to one of the islands east of Miami downtown, such as Watson island. You can great views of downtown Miami and Miami beach from a few points in between. Or the Causeway that goes to Biscayne Key, it has parking and beautiful views on both sides. Don't be deterred.
