I love the slenderness of the tower and how it soars in the last render. However I hate the base with it's bare concrete and funny wooden slats 6/10

well i love the base but the glass cladding lets the building down slightly but the shape and proportions are elegant. 8/10

It'll do wonders for the skyline though.

9/10 - This looks right at home on the Mersey, and what a great shape and design. Jealous.

It looks like the tower in Mordor in Lord of the Rings. Where the baddy lives. Only without the flaming eye. It would be good if it had a flaming eye. I'd quite like to photoshop a flaming eye onto it. Maybe I will.

Really like this, a slight shame it isn't just a couple of meters taller, then it could claim it's genuine scraper status, still, close enough i suppose.

BRITAIN’S highest bar and restaurant will be in a Liverpool skyscraper.

It will be on the 34th floor of Beetham’s West Tower,It is due to open in December,it will be 101.5m above street level and have floor-to-ceiling windows offering breathtaking views over the city.

Love it! Top is a little disappointing (the boxy bit) but I really like the base.

8/10

Nice one! I'm always a bit bitter than Simpson put Beetham Manchester's slybar in the middle and chose to have the top two floors for himself, when we could have had a spectacular restaraunt/bar up there.

Dont Forget Greengate (if it ever gets off the ground) will have a 46th Storey Viewing Platform and Skybar, but that won't be until 2010 at least!

I don't think it's the height so much,it's the location of it for me.

I love the shape and the height, its just about perfect in those aspects. However the cladding, like with all beetham buildings just ruins it, still gets an 8 though.

8/10. Not much to dislike really - not cutting edge, but it'll look great.

8 out of 10 - I agree the best beetham tower around!!!
P.s. Beetham, you could prove me wrong by building one in Leeds and making it better than the others!!!

I dont like the base and cladding is a bit suspect, however still a pretty nice looking tower. either a 7 or 8 but can't decide which yet

They've put balconies up at the base, but the top still looks incomplete.

7/10. Shape isn't bad, but a poor choice of materials that lets it down.

I know this sounds really bad and I'm sure many will disagree but I really am not sure that Liverpool skyline looks right with high rise buildings, I love some of the older buildings and the new high rises that are going up look ace in themselves but as a skyline tall buildings just seem like an uncomfortable add on... I've thought this for a while but nit bothered to express my views... maybe it's because there isn't enough density and the new builds look kind of cold and stark on the water front, uneasy almost?
