Unnamed, 71F. Could hit 300m but will list it under 200m for the moments

Unnamed Damac Tower, 85F. Definitely 300m+ and from its spire looks like a candidate for the world's tallest res.

This stuff makes me really wanna visit dubai in a few years when they complete these projects.

Must be amazing to live there and see the city transform in such a short period of time.

It reminds me of an american suburb except vertical(not a good thing)...I hope sheer number of buildings are never a determination of a city's ranking...It can be an element but never should be the lone factor in a city's ranking to others. I would much rather stare at a skyline of 20 creative and original buildings than a skyline of 200 uncreative interpetations of the original 20.

Are you talking about the jumeirah beach residence? That's the only part of the marina that have the towers identical to each other.

Larven, if you read this thread and have a bit of time to spare could you add the new damac tower to the marina render you did? Here it is:

If the spire was floors it would be around 120floors and thats not taking into acount the angle. This think will be 400m!.

You clearly dont know much about the city, Dubai has the biggest variety of design on buildings ive seen.

Sure there are some complexes though...

construction has not yet begun, since it is part of the waterfront and they will have to take care of infrastructure etc and make the land ready (sand right now).

But it can be considered approved, design changes might happen and we don't have a final floor number or height, but i am sure it will be built more or less like that.

Al Burj won't start for another few years because as flo said, there's loads of stuff to do around that area before this starts construction. Construction of the waterfront in general is supposed to start at the end of this year I think.

I can see some really beautiful skyscrapers here - but it's such a shame they're located in such a horrible area - along a main road, in one row with other towers of similar height. the individual towers lose their appeal.

well to call the area horrible is totally exagerrated.

believe me this will be the best place in dubai in 3 to 4 years.

it already is great in fact.

But i agree, they are placed too close together, but it was all about views, everybody wants to get sea/palm view, and therefore those were all built in this area.

it would have been better to build them spread around the marina, right.
nevertheless this will make an amaaazing skyline in the end.
