7.5/10

The facade is a little drab, but I like the stoutness of it, as well as the top.

btw SteelCity I recreated the thread for you as your poll allowed for multiple voting which strictly isnt allowed and it isnt #187. Our own list only counts buildings that are completed.

oops, sorry about that...

sorry about the confusion

also, I didn't know that multiple voting wasn't allowed...is it in the rule section?

No worries.
Its the particpation that really counts!

The reason why we dont want multiple postings for votes is that people can abuse it in order to slant the results of a building.
One vote per person

7/10 - The contrasting treatment of the mullions and windows (narrow windows and raised mullions vs. wider windows and flat mullions as "accents" help to make the facade more interesting. The indentations along the side of the tower, the 8-sided shape, and the sloping setbacks at the top also help

However, the roof, though it flows from the rest of the building, is uninspired. The glass and metal on the facade need more color - as it is, they seem to be a dull, boring gray blur And once again, the tower could use some horizontal set backs, because it IS rather chuncky!

A powerful and classy skyscraper. It has a fantastic base. New Mellon Client Center building next to it is a beauty. 9/10

I like it, but it could be better. They could have jazzed the facade up a bit, and made the top part glass a la Bear Stearns. 7/10.
