The Burj Dubai should be 575m tall at the end of 2007.

If you can read German
http://www.doka.com/doka/de_global/s...3408/index.php

If you can`t, than just watch at the very interesting pics

another surprise for you guys
i took a few photos to give a 360 degree impression
i didn't have a tripod with me, so it was quite hard to stitch it together

hence we know have a 270 degree view
in the last 90 degrees there was not too much to see anyway, except a handful of cranes

i counted cranes yesterday, i stopped at 100, but there are way more!, i assume there are about 150 cranes in total
there are a couple more behind the buildings on the left, which block the view a bit
once most of the project is under c i expect to be 200 or more to be active on the site

special thanks to dazz for doing this for me!!!

SCROLL RIGHT

Thanks.
Do you know if the apartments is going to be into the core and out of one "leg" or out of 2 "legs"?

There's 3 wings (what you call legs). All areas, including the core will have app - the core is also mainly the building itself.

Yep. Something like that. It has something to do with the curved concrete floors. It is doing the same purpose as the white center core one has been doing for a while. They are used when the concrete extends past the core walls. As soon as the concrete floor is dried, it moves up.

here in australia residential floors are no more then 3m/10ft floor to floor. The norm back in 70's was 2.6m. even now new towers reduce floors to 2.8m so they can get an extra floor into a 40 storey project which could mean l$$$.
Burj Dubai easily has 4m floor to floor which is equal to large office floors.i suppose its a building for the futuire. everything is big
i think BD resi floors range from 300-400m?high. must be highest apartment floors in world? i havent a plan in front of me atm, does anyone know how high resi will go?

i think there are two sets of residential floors with a hotel in between. The top section is penthouses which go all the way to the top, apparenly above the viewing galleries.

The burj dubai downtown is much bigger than I thought. So many towers U/C, so many cranes and towers. is it the biggest construction site in the world.
