To clear things up a bit: The Expo Line is being built in 2 phases. The first will be built to Culver City. Phase 2 will go from Culver City to Santa Monica.

*Verbal downtown update*

So I went to downtown yesterday. Elleven is about 95% complete Luma is working on floor 3 and even though it hasn't started construction yet, Evo is being advertised all over the place. Hanover Tower's hole is at least 60 feet deep. I'm no construction expert but it looks as though they might be ready to start building the foundation. LA Live's hole is just HUGE. The Concerto site..the lights were off. Nothing important..just something worth noting. Ralph's is chugging along abiet slow as time. That area is going to look very cool with Concerto, Hanover, Ralphs, and the 40 story tower that'll go up next to Ralph's. So I walked my way up Bunker Hill (from South Park to Bunker Hill is a killer walk). Colburn is about 7 stories tall now.

That's pretty much it.

Thanks for the update. What about having access via rail to San Pedro, Century City, LAX, and Beverly Hills. The idea i think is to allow access to all destinations. This would reduce the use of the car and in turn would affect pollution.

Do you think DTLA should have flats? I think it should. This would give the area a more "city" like feeling.

Why is 1100 Wilshire not talked about more? It'll easily be the best condo in downtown.

I would like 1100 Wilshire more if only the building was not perched on top of that hideous parking structure.

seriously, why did they even build it? You'd figure that they'd know just one solid building stretching from the ground up with look much better.

I myself don't think is an ugly tower. The only suggestion would be to paint the lower parking levels to a color that blends in with the tower. Then it won't look that ackward to everyone.

Yes, they should built flats in Downtown. The only thing is they have to make them way taller and offer parking!!!!!

That website is for the renovations (and the addition of residential component) to the Beverly Connection, which is across the street from the Beverly Center.

The Beverly Center itself is getting a small makeover. The escalators will be replaced and there will be some minor design changes.
