Yeah if no one has nothing good or positive to say here, stay out of the thread.

if no one has anything good say, then they shouldn't say it. negativity doesn't get you anywere but only makes you weaker as a person...

Anyways, i'm really excited about DLTA. The 8th and Grand one seems very nice. But I notice that we don't have many proposed/approved projects over 50 stories. If our skyline is going to look very dense, height must also be encouraged...

Are the Zen and 755 towers still being considered? Haven't they been shut down?

Zen is still being designed and no one knows 755's status. Though on that interactive map, the site shows the lot as a 'proposed area.'

Ok..so I'm in downtown (library) right now. I'll give you my verbal DTLA update:

LA Live is above ground...sorta. Colums that I'm guessing is for a parking structure is sticking up right across from Staples. Btw..this site is about the size of ground zero. It's huge. Goodness. You can clearly see the Hollywood sign from this place too.

Elleven/Luma/Evo: Elleven is 95% completed. Luma is starting on the 4th(?) floor. Evo is still a parking lot.

Hanover: This will interest you guys. Looking into the pit, you can clearly see the core of the building. Btw..they are constructing the crane for Hanover.

Colburn: I believe it's on the 8th floor.

Concerto: Still nothing. HURRY UP DAMMIT!!

Market Lofts: Wins the award for slowest project ever. Though when I walked by it this morning, the crane scared me half to death at how fast it swung around.

Also, there was a helicopter carrying stuff to the top of City National Bank (near Pershing Square) today. To see a giant helicopter hovering 25 feet above downtown was a scary sight.

That's it.

Thanks for the verbal update (300).

I was on the 10 FWY yesterday and saw a new midrise building being constructed. Near the Fashion District by Maple & Venice. It caught my eye while I checking out the view from the FWY. They seem to be already working on the 5th floor. Does anyone have info on this project????
