thank god. i love the buildings of LA, but the skyline is much too vertical. it needs more of a panaramic aspect. i want to have to scan left to right as well as up and down. the development hopefully deals with that issue.

Excellent thread. L.A.'s skyline is odd, it looks dense in some angles but if you go to different parts of the city it looks either spread out or rather small. I still love L.A.'s skyline but hopefully the developments will change that, L.A. needs more density.

LA CITY OF THE FUTURE

LA is asserting it's role as the quintessentially modern American city. It doesn't look up to New York or Chicago as a model. Right now LA is re-inventing istelf, trying to define it's own sense of urbanity far different from any other city in the US.

Hs Zen towerm even been mentioned here? Btw Zen is this 50 story Asian inspired building at 3rd and Hill. It's a serious proposal, just that nobody has any renderings. Astani { 2 27 story towers and a 5 story building] breakgroubd January 30!!!!!!!!!!! Mr. Burns... excellent.

well said. Likewise, I feel that LA is starting to discover itself, well Downtown Los Angeles at least. I think the rest of LA is clearly defined.

I love that picture! I seen that before when I was driving down Downtown. And they say L.A. has no public transportation.

Amazing panoramic picture. Gotta love how everything just starts to descend from U.S. bank tower. And especially with its crown, it's the true king of LA.

And great new projects, can't wait 'til I go back there to visit soon enough.

Downtown Los Angeles is pretty large, a lot larger than most people think. Much potential.
