Yesterday when I saw the Astani [Cocerto] site, there was no sing of it being under development. It is still a parking lot.

Are there any plans to remove the freeways that encircle downtown L.A. similar to what they did in Portland?

Construction won't start until the 30th.

No, and never. All that would do is overload central LA's street grid.

Looks like there is some nice low-mid rise projects. A few fairly tall projects too. It will help the skyline.

I would like to see the 101 north of downtown removed or put underground. It's ugly.

The freeway is the heart and soul of L.A. L.A. will never remove none of its freeways, I find that impossible to do. Besides, the city promised not to build no more freeways.

Yea I heard that they weren't going to build any new Freeways in LA. My question is, when you drive on the 110 fWY have you notice that it's a double decker (portion). Also when you drive Northbound 110 to Downtown the double decker part which is the carpool just stops. You have to exit on Adams Bl right after USC. Does anyone think they will ever finish the project. When you drive Southbound 110 to Long Beach if you look up you will see all the metal wires dangling on the air. It's been like that for a couple of years. It makes that portion of the FWY look horrible.

Yeah, I seen the same thing. I have no idea what those metal wires are. Its probably a dead or cancelled project since its been there for a few years.

Cool. There's some interesting projects going on. It's good to see Downtown is booming, maybe it'll be up there with the big boys soon where it should be.
