@carboard, please refrain from mentioning "religion", which has nothing to do with your argument. Just stick to the issues at hand, otherwise, this discussion will end up nowhere. I hope this suggestion helps. Thanks!

Well ok then, I guess I just have to stop heating myself up to discipline someone I don't even see. On with the developments!

This City Place project must be very advanatgeous for Manila. For the benefit of every foreigner, Binondo District of Manila was the commercial heart of the city of Manila from the late 1800's up to the 1950's. Escolta was even considered Wall Street of the Philippines in that era, another avenue, Avenida Rizal was the Philippine counterpart to US' Broadway in NY. Despite being almost completely obliterated by the bombs of the Second World War, the real culprits behind Binondo's almost falling into decay are the LRT, the mall explosion and neglect of heritage buildings. But of course Binondo is still an important commercial district in Manila. A real historical charm fills the district, adding to the fact that it is just a river crossing away from the country's historical nucleus, Intramuros. Everyone in SSC Philippines have been longing for a project that would bring back the commercial glory of Old Manila, we can only hope that this is the one.

hohoo the fighting makes this forum on top

but again there are slums everywhere, still even though the project has slums around it, it will ikely to disappear because the developers dont want the building to look like low class, like in jakarta, the government/police burnt down the whole slum in a developer's land.
so peacee la
whos taht guy anyway

1) This is the corner lot where Net Cube will be constructed. The building with a crane at the back of the picture is HSBC Centre.

2) I would like to make a correction on the location of the lot where Net Cube will be constructed. So from this picture, it will be Net Cube, vacant lot, Net Square (the building in the picture), vacant lot, Net One (partially hidden from this picture).

That's what you call transition, whose country does not start from slum and move to middle or first world state? Philippines is just starting to change image and hopefully will join the first world group in the future, what is wrong with that, why everytime we have a good move for outrselves, someone want to break the momentum, why are we the best in the world, maybe that's why it happen...... Insecurity is the word, accept if you are failure.......

I believe there is going to be a revival of the Binondo area. Maybe the next one scheduled to be developed in the vicinity is the Tutuban Rail Station. That's a huge yard with one single owner, the government. Like some rail station in major cities, airrights are being bought by private entities. One example is the Madison Square Garden.
