You mean the conceptual design is not finalized yet, but the way it was presented it looks like a cheapy one! The project initiator should commissioned an architect that can "WOW" the investor, etc.

A lot of filipino architects can do better than what you have shown!

Century City is an impressive project and I would like to see it develop in Makati. But the tallest building doesn't do much justice. I heard that it will also become the tallest building in Metro Manila. I hope it doesn't since I would prefer seeing the Lopez Centre as the tallest.

Although still unconfirmed, it has been said that GA SkySuites to rise in Quezon City will be Philippines' tallest for a while.

EDIT: Oh it'll only be Quezon City's highest tower

I wouldn't like to see trees making our towers the tallest.

This would be GA Skysuites

nice building in a bad location. IMO. Unless they make the area beautiful and clean then it's okay.

the design is awesome. what is the height anyway?

The area surrounding it will undergo redevelopment, as well. In fact, its retail centerpiece, TriNoma, had its soft-opening today!

The following are photos of the area's retail component, TriNoma, which opened today.
Pictures are by forumer, Kiben. Thanks Kiben!

Sinjin thanks for the post. Diz, the GA Skysuites doesn't look that bad but honestly I prefer seeing an iconic office tower than a residential condo being the tallest or dominating Manila's skyline. There are too many condos being built and hardly too much office towers.

I saw the Trinova when I was there. Good to hear it's now open.

Yeah, i agree with Wanch.. it's better if the tallest building would be an offive building.

I agree. I would prefer one with no trees too.

There are several cities that have residential as the tallest building. Bangkok, Melbourne, Seoul etc. The Chicago Spire and The Burj Dubai will both be residential.

Currently, Manila's tallest is an office tower which is the PBCom. But if you look at it places like Fort Bonifacio are planning to become a future CBD but the majority of those being built there are condos.

It's also the architectural styles. I prefer architecture of office towers than residential condos.

Trinoma was no nice but I found the dropped ceiling was to plain. They have to add stainless steel finish to the edging and the mid part of the ceiling with timber veneer panel in middletone stain finish. Or if not the edge of the light trough to finish w/ s/s, just the timber panel on the middle with s/s edging. That idea with break the monotonous effect of the long stretch and apron of the atrium must have some hidden ignition lighting.

In addition, I dont like the different colours of boxed light seems like in a carnaval, looks so fancy. Outside the trees and the facades so nice but the colours of upward lighting at the trees must change to pink so it will contrast the blue light effect of the curtain wall.
