Shibuya has been my favorite shopping area in Tokyo. There's where I buy those hard to find hip-hop vinyls.

It's actually called Asia's hip-hop mecca by many

My favorite is Manhattan Records though prizes in Japan are expensive. But you guys sometimes get album releases earlier than most cities in The United States like the Dilated Peoples album for example.

Even crate diggers like DJ. Premiere, Large Professor go to Shibuya to buy hard to find records that they can't find in the US!

Yes, but it's rare and possibly only during certain festivals that you can see many people dressed traditionally.

Really nice photos of Shibuya Kauã and thanks for sharing them with us.

Cool! Looks extremely trendy! Is Shibuya or Harajuku more popular for teens?

From the looks of it, there are! Also, Shinjuku, Ikebukuro and Roppongi to some extent

Wow! It seems like those US-based companies invest more in other countries than in the US. Those are nice looking Haazen Das and Starbuck stores! I havnt seen their stores that big in Seattle. I have also seen quite a few nice looking McDonalds outside the US. They are just so plain looking over here.

I think Shibuya is supposed to be more "stylish", while Harajuku is more "trendy" (there are definitely some weird clothing stores in Takeshita-Dori in Harakjuku )

From the outside, it looks like there are some shops which could almost be "costume" shops (lots of sequins, ruffles and things). A few second-hand shops selling supposedly authentic "western" stuff (mostly denim jeans and jackets sort of style). I've seen girls walk down the street in Gothic Lolita wear (can't remember if it was the weekend though)...
