You could've fielded an A-League all star team that could've won that match. Pathetic use of the ball once again.

So does that mean we need at least a point from the next game to qualify for the next round or is it two games still to go?

Ok - that makes it a fair bit more comfortable. Still don't want to lose games like that again.

Another shit performance but at least we got the 3 points. 1-0 win over Thailand in Bangkok sends us through to the 4th round. The Saudi Arabia game in Melbourne is now a dead rubber for us.
We can take some comfort in knowing that both Japan & South Korea both lost last night. So we're not the only ones faltering. Though both of them have secured passage to the 4th round. |

Not sure why they're struggling so much but it is a worry.

Also, I agree with the Fox Sport commentary team, Australia's central midfield was awful against Thailand. Osieck needs to fix that quickly! |

Is there a clause in Holmans contract with Villa that can stop him going there if they get relegated or something? Was excited for another Aussie to be in the Premier League but with the form they're on I can see them going down.

0-0 against Oman yesterday. IMO a good result as it looks like a few players were being rested for the Japan match in Brisbane on Tuesday.
The game was also played in 40deg heat. On another note, should Australia refuse to play in Oman again with lasers being shon in both the keeper and the referees eyes? Completely inappropriate.

I was on the piss and saw the second half and still couldn't find it entertaining. Most uninspiring match ever. However, as was pointed out by Mark Bosnich, our first 3 matches are away matches. If we can get at least a point from each, we should come home strongly.

Also, not happy with the fact that Japan get 3 of their first 4 at home when we have the exact opposite? Its easier to get a good lead in a group then to have the pressure of having to make up points in the final couple of games! |

Was lucky but it was a brilliant game and a point each is probably deserving. Ref had a shocker though lol.

Is it normal to have two internationals so close together (4 days) on the other side of the world? Some of the Socceroos were saying they were still jet lagged yesterday morning.
