Does anyone know if aluminum will be applied over the concrete on the sides and on the exposed floor plates or is that supposedly granite on the sides?

Don't know what, if anything, will cover the concrete floorplates but that wall running up the side of the building is already covered with yellow brick.
It's hard to tell from the photos but that's what it is.

An earlier pic shows them applying the bricks.

It's a wonder they can build such a tall building in such as small plot of land. The building looks slender and sleek. Let's demolish the old brick apartments and replace them with glassy skyscrapers !!
