No, I'm sure it's being built so it can collapse within a year or two...

To me, IMHO, this is the best looking and most exciting project going on in Chicago. I LOVE this tower! Very Jealous!

Well, whatever one thinks, if Calatrava's proposed Fordham surges ahead, it will be the first turning torso scraper in the U.S.. It will also be not only the tallest scraper in Chi-Town but also in The U.S. of A., @ 115-levels above ground & @ 610m/2,000ft to its structural height ie its spire/antenna.

BTW Waterivew Tower nowhere in sight:

We need some of that Chicago spirit in New York - Ground Zero.

They are afraid to rebuild the Twin Towers.

Their excuse is: No one want to work that high.

Answer: Bring Chicago fever to New York.

I love it!

You've probably only seen it from one angle. That angle makes it appear very thin (32' to be exact). For good measure:

My favorite angle:

Stupid questions do deserve stupid answers.

I heard someone else complain about this kind of thing a couple months ago in regards to FS. "They don't call Chicago the windy city for nothing. Are they sure it won't fall?"

Please... let the engineers worry about that...

It looks like there is a small building built on the roof of the Waterview, behind the extended facade. What is this structure? It looks cool.

I'm pretty certain this'll be my favorite Chicago building upon completion. Very pretty.
It's like two or three buildings in one, because the different angles make it look so different! But they all look good.
