Thanks, ZZ-II. Yes, I work in the building east of Waterview Tower.

I'm very fortunate to have such great views of Waterview Tower, Trump Tower, and 300 N. LaSalle. I believe I'm higher than the setback, so I still might have a good view of Waterview, but I'll have to point the camera up instead of down!

By the way, the building I work in was recently renamed the United Building. United Airlines moved their headquarters to downtown from the suburbs.

Is this the right term ? or is this cladding ? -- details of the rails to hang straight lines over the slanted ramps.

Waterview has the west-side corner "notched" on the lower 9(ish) stories, so it gives the illusion of a gap. But it doesn't go all the way from Wacker to the alley. The buildings do essentially touch. As for what will go in that area, maybe the venting system or elevators for the parking garage? (just a guess, but I think they'd have already poured the floors if cars were going to be parking there.)

I love this building. I think once they make it past the huge setback, this building will fly up. (like a floor every 48-72 hours)

Can you build a floor in two days? Would the concrete even be fully set by then? I know you can do it in 3 because Burj Dubai did that.

setback at 27 floors...

why are they setting this back after 27 floors into a triangle?
seems like a complete waste..
those triangle plates will be very tiny as the current plates are not real big to begin with...
