Looks like crane's owner doing something, perhaps routine maintenance work on it or work needed to restart it?

Too bad there isn't a skyscraper ER room to resuscitate buildings that are dying. RIP waterview.

Isn't it going to be restarted in July?

End of summer. The due diligence for the 300 million is taking a little longer. But it will restart soon.

United Building?

I hope this isn't too off topic ... but I really like the "United" building across the street. Does anyone have info on it?

Originally the RR Donnelly building, look for shots from Retrograde, many are taken from the building. Nice from a distance but the first floor and lobby suck from street level, very easy to walk right past it.

I'm not sure on the exact time, but 1989 seems to stick in my mind as to when the Donnelly/UAL building was completed. It does have a fairly interesting outline and yes, it is 'classic' 1980s stuff.

The Donnelly building and UAL building are two seperate buildings. The building in the picture is the UAL building.

R.R Donnelly was headquartered at 77 W. wacker Drive until about 2 years ago which is when they moved to Hyatt Center at 71 S. Wacker Drive. UAL moved into 77 W. Wacker last summer.
