This may not be the final design, but its definitely getting built, and will be 65 stories, maybe more if we are lucky. But the name is still water view i believe.

Yeah, but I honestly think they will fix the design. The cantilever would look incredible if done right, and would give the river a more futuristic look, this could be magnificent, lets just wait for the final design.

That will be awesome if it gets built, another supertall, and bumping the height is a bonus. I honestly love the design I mean it's something different. Especially in Chicago, it's taking it to a whole new level. Probably when it gets built it would look different but for me the design is unique. I love of. Also I want to read more about it. Know anything?

No, im not saying they are bumping the height, im saying that maybe they will build it closer to waterviews original height if we are lucky, but they haven't said anything about going higher then 65 stories.

Hrmpf. Not a change for the better, frankly.

Actually, it has become quite an uninspiring, ugly duck now.

Why can't they just switch back to original design?

While I like the new design more, I'm not a fan of the building being shortened...

Money?

Anyways, I liked the first redesign better. The new one isn't bad, just nothing special.

No one said it was shortened, some people even said it could be taller on skyscraper page. And also mentioned some 200m-300m development at wolf point , and that they were waiting for a render or something.

I wasn't much in favor of the "gap" in the recently-scrapped design of the Waterview Tower. Like the new design better, but it is unknown when a final design for the tower will come forward.

A massive improvement over the previous redesign, but the original is still superior

Agreed all around. Original was amazing. But the first redesign really emphasized the fact that they had an old building for a base that they could do nothing with, so they just built on top of it in a very odd way. I like the new design a lot more.

Anything is better than barren concrete! Good to see life back in this project.
