Exotic photo Nick

Wonder which is the place in the photograph ?.

Just curious whether it remains as exotic today as it was 30 years back

Hopefully it is still as much of a beauty today as it is in the picture

Yes !!

This photographer from 1976 seems to have travelled to Alleppey. This is typical surroundings between Kochi & Alleppey. Anyone has a better idea about this ? But notice that population is very less, see that Ernakulam Jun photo, not even a soul around. Surprising. Kerala's population must have been very less those days.

It is in the outskirts of the City..

It is one of the two Fresh Water Lakes in Kerala, the first being Sasthamcotta Lake in Kollam. This Lake caters to the drinking water needs of some parts of the city and the 'Kovalam' tourist zone.

Those waterfalls are simple awesome. There was once a plan for a dam nearby, fortunately it was never implemented.

Well it wasn't a dam, but a power project. Unfortunately it is still on.
