Ah, I-75 just north of I-285 over there by Windy Hill Road and Delk Road.

They want to add more lanes to there so that it's 26 lanes total one day.

They say M30 can compete with the Moskovian MKAD ringway in terms of the busiest road, as well the A4/A86 section in Paris, but it is definatly busier than the London M25 or Rotterdam A16 (which both have like 250.000).
I have read somewhere the M30 has over 300.000:

Quote:

Surely, M30 is one of the busiest, but the BIG-BUSIEST is the Périferique in Paris!

That one has already been chewed over. The numbers your quoting there are not for a single point on the Périferique. Probably a large section of it.
There aren't any roads in the world that have a higher volume at any given point than 500000 vpd (Toronto 401). 330000 on the M30 would make it Europes busiest section of motorway.

which are the sources of wikipedia???

In 2003, there was 224090, two kilometers (more or less) from "Puente de Ventas" it is the last official number i have before the new tunnel was built. published by the "Ministerio de Fomento". At "Puente de Ventas" the traffic is bigger, but How much?? i don't have official numbers.

In 2005 construction works began and the traffic decreased.

Now we have the new M-30 finished for two months ago, and it is still soon to know new traffic.

Yeah right, you need like 50 lanes to handle 1,200,000 vehicles a day. As far as i know, the BP only has 6 or 8.

That is correct. 8 lanes on the right bank and 6 lanes on the left bank. However, I found the traffic jams on the A86 ring motorway to be even worse than those on the périphérique (it has only between 4 and 6 lanes).

Anyway, the A14 is to me a fantastic highway. Unfortunately it's very expensive which kind of ruins everything. Built west of Paris it links La défense to the western suburbs. It's underground during something like 10 km and then it's built on viaducts with anti-sound walls having a design making it very futuristic.

Anyway, talking about the périphérique, here's a video showing a motorcycle driving at very high speed in the traffic :

Some facts i got off a website....

The East Los Angeles Interchange is the world's busiest freeway interchange.

The world's most complex freeway interchange is the Orange Crush (In Orange County)

I don't know if these are true, i've seen pictures of the orange crush and it isn't as bad as the one in Dallas.

Does a four-level interchange count (only five percent of its rights of way is level; the rest, sloping)?

407 and 427 once it is extended north, thats planned eventually, but I don't know of any other though. What they need to do is reconstruct the whole 401, 427, 27, Eglington interchange
