Pegausus covers a much larger area, I believe all of the south(30) and west parts(35) of the downtown freeway loop. It won't be as tall but will be take longer and involve more ramps etc...

Pegasus is I-30 from I-35 to US-75, and I-35 from I-30 north to 183. Good thing; these roads need help.

We don't have those giant interchanges back East, they look too complicated...

Cloverleafs are better to drive on, but those Stacks are impressive.

LOL!
Dallas high five does look very intuitive and well designed! I like it and it can be the highest man made highway interchange!

nice thread! Dallas Hi-5 I think is the biggest in the world, just look at that thing, it's massive as all hell and the ramp heights are amazing!

The Hi Five interchange in Dallas is not particularly attractive. It looks like a mish mash of lanes going here and there, plus ugly Texas service roads on the sides.

As far as five level stack interchanges go, the one in LA, with its smaller footprint, more "classic" symmetrical ramp layout, etc. is much more attractive on aerial photographs.

Not the world's largest but...

probably the biggest interchange in a country of 4 million with a population density of 13 per km².

Central Motorway Junction, Auckland, New Zealand

Links the Northern, Southern, Northwest, and Grafton Motorways as well as several entry and exit points to the CBD.

It's a traffic map, but it illustrates all of Houston's highways.

For sheer complexity, amount of lanes involved and levels of stack, the 110/105 interchange is by far the most complex on Earth. The Dallas interchange is also massive and i would say in the top 5 but i have driven on both (the Dallas hi-5 about 5 times and the 110/105 about a million) and the nod has to go to the 110/105.

It just looks complex from afar. All you do is follow the sign and at most you need to make two options. You exit the main highway, then exit one more time in the direction of the highway you exited for.
