NIMBYs (not in my backyard syndrome) are persons, or a group of persons, that try to oppose any development, be it road or building etc, in the immediate vicinity of their residence.

It's not a road if people can't drive on it.

I wonder where the world's most bitumized (and most fuel-inefficient) city is.

They say a third of it is either roadway or parking lot. Guess I should get back to my book.

here in Manila.. the widest avenue is going to be 10 lanes on each side...the Commonwealth Avenue... the whole stretch of the avenue hasn't been expanded to 10 lanes yet.. but portions of it already is and they are finishing up on the construction of the avenue....

Commonwealth was wide. But what I hate about that road are the no. of Jaywalkers. The area has several overpass but still they risk themselves crossing the road.

Largest Interchange

Yes, the 110/105 interchange is the largest un the world. the 405/105 is large too.

Also, the 405 actually curves and goes through Long Beach in an esat/west direction and intersects with the 110. This may be the second largets in the world.

Volumes approach 400,000 per day on several LA metro freeways. The 110 has eight lanes in each direction in some places and the 405 is being expanded to 10 lanes each way in certain areas.

Already was posted but i think the 401, 427 interchange has to be one of the biggest, but not the biggest. And Ontario has only one 4 level stack interchange, we mostly us Parclo A4
