The inauguration will be 18th December 2011, However the actual operation will be in the first half of 2012. nobody is sure when exactly though.

 The opening is purely ceremonial, I HOPE THEY HAVE ONE ON 18TH DECEMBER !!! then later mid 2012 (if not last quarter...) traffic movement in the airport...

BTW, the new intersection on the way to Wakrah seems ready, there is traffic lights instead of the roundabout. I think it will be open within few weeks and air Force R/A should be closed right after. my question however, is F ring road U/C ?

From satellite photos you can see some form of "outline" formed over the ears for the future to be roads and interchanges... BUT i dont think its under construction YET.
