QB ni yg kurang skit, hallway dia trlampau besar, smpai tak larat nak jalan, tmbh lagi, bentuk QB ni memanjang, ala2 bntuk L, dan fodd court dia trsorok skit, klau tak slap, 3 lot kedai je kot, (foodcourt jusco).... bab parking, puas hati kot, sal besar gak tmpat parking....

QB nmpak grand coz siling dia tinggi, dr luar nmpak besar, tp tu la, trlampau besar pun, payah gak....

last not least, ade 1 kdai feveret aku, borders bookshop dan harvey norman

Ditto, viewed from Food Court adjacent to the PWD building

Elevator inside the suite block. Notice the temp. It's freezing cold there hehehehe

In total, I spent RM1,300 for electronic peripherals at Greentown mall, RM30.00 (approx) at the food court, and RM60.00 for filling my Suzie with gas. Hope that can contribute Ipoh's economy as well

Ah, Mr. CK Hang, sorry for the late reply
What Greentown Mall has to offer? I was there eight years ago. Kindly update me.

Mydin's largest mall now in Ipoh

Mydin Mohamed Holdings Bhd launched its ninth hypermarket branch at Meru Raya in Ipoh yesterday. Pic by Ikhwan Munir

IPOH: MYDIN Mohamed Holdings Bhd officially launched the opening of its largest hypermarket mall at Meru Raya here yesterday.

The RM200 million investment project is the local company's ninth hypermarket branch in the country and first in the state.

More than 700 people had been recruited to work at the 73,486sq m premises, which is located in a developing township known as Bandar Meru Raya, which has been set by the state government to be known as a "green city".

The hypermarket structure is also fitted with environmentally-friendly fixtures, such as T5 lamps and solar panels.

Company managing director Datuk Ameer Ali Mydin said the three-storey Mydin Meru Raya mall was expected to cater to residents living in the vicinity of Meru, Jelapang, Chemor, Ipoh, Manjoi and Kuala Kangsar.

"This latest branch is different from previous branches as it was built based on a mall concept.

"We hope to offer a competitive and viable alternative in shopping choice for the northern market, specifically Perak," he said after the official launching ceremony here yesterday.

Also present was founder of the hypermarket chain, Mydin Mohamed, who officiated the hypermarket, and Datuk Bandar Ipoh Datuk Roshidi Hashim.
Ameer Ali said he expected Mydin Meru Raya to record higher sales than its other branches.

"Since it is the largest hypermarket, we are hoping to also record large returns."

He, however, predicted that a return on investment would likely be achieved between five and seven years'.

He said Mydin hypermarkets were set to be opened in Manjoi here, Bukit Mertajam, Penang: Taman Rinting and Mutiara Rini in Johor Baru and Jasin, Malacca.

Meru Raya , with its ever expanding future, deserves a good mall at least of IS18 standard. Having said that, Mydin is a good neighborhood mall for the time being.

Coming Development Project

The proposed 192-acre Bandar Razak (Kg Razak) Project is an upcoming Integrated Development Project that will give a further boost to the growth and expansion of the ‘northern corridor’ of Bandaraya Ipoh.

Situated alongside the North South Expressway, in the direction of city-centre, it is sandwiched between Jalan Kuala Kangsar in the south and Jalan Jelapang in the north. It is close to the Jelapang Toll Plaza of the North-South Expressway.

Diagonally opposite the proposed Bandar Razak, across the North South Expressway, is Bandar Meruraya, an ongoing township development project initiated much earlier by PKNP.

Recently PLUS has completed a flyover from Bandar Meruraya over the North-South Expressway and alongside the proposed Bandar Razak. The continuation of this particular stretch of the new highway is under JKR and will join up with the Ipoh-Lumut Highway junction at Jalan Jelapang. The upgrading and expansion of the road network system around the Jelapang Interchange and the Meru area in general has vastly improved the ease of accessibility and flow of traffic of the proposed Bandar Razak.

The proximity of the MSC CyberCentre @ Meru Raya and the ongoing relocation of Federal and State Government Offices nearby will, in the very near future, turn the greater Meru area together with the proposed Bandar Razak into the new Administrative, Commercial and Residential Centre of Ipoh!

Infrastructural works for the proposed Bandar Razak are scheduled to begin in 2010. Property development activities within the proposed Bandar Razak will follow in the second half of 2011.

Para Development Sdn Bhd is one of the development land-parcel owners of the proposed Bandar Razak.
