I read from news today that this building has topped out (without spire part). Cheers!

I have a friend that I met in 1986 originally from Nanjing and he told me that when he departed and came over here, that there were not that many tall buildings at that time, probably a few like 30 or 40 floors. in like 21 years this city appears to have superbly expanded, and now getting a supertall! This is awesome, and yes as stated before, the cladding is beautiful!!!

very fitting for a city which used to be the capital of china during the ming dynasty.
it is such a sophisticated futuristic building. I hope it incorporates some green technologies to make it more environmentally friendly.

imo this is one of the rare cases where the real building looks better than its renderings.

Cladding is rising very quickly. I can't wait to see it finished. Should look spectacular!

unfortunently I think there are not too many people (in the west) that know how big Nanjing is, or how prosperous the city has been in the history as a cultural centre and capital of several dynaties. It truly deserves to be in the limelight !

Go Nanjing, Building looks great !

the building looks great, i bet the glass design is a nightmare to install. That scaffold in the photos looks a right joke in my oppinion.

It was more like Nanking Massacre. Some people don't know that Nanking is Nanjing. This is just like Peking to Beijing or Canton = Guangzhou.

I know nanjing is huge... just most western ppl dont, all ppl that live here heard of hongkong, shanghai and beijing. Not even canton, oh and yea.. they heard of tibet over the summer, but thats all.

Back on topic though, building still looks great like i said 5 posts ago :P
