cheers barbaric , the heading says 450 meters, but the detail you show got it at 458 meters thats taller than the petronas towers ?

It has not been confirmed whether the tower's spire reach 450 or 458 meters, actually. Sources at SOM tell different stories.

how did they put the top bit of the spire in place , cos the cranes look a bit low ?

Don't know this one, but usually, they build the spire, and then is "pumped-up" to the final height.

at the current speed of progress i have the hope that i can add the tower to ROT in december. until now i've only a few towers for the next update

Thats because so few people know Nanjing. If this was build in Shanghai, or even better, Chicago or new York, it would have hundreds of pages.

ROT does mean rate out tallest (I think), and not what it sounds like.

But the spire is looking nice and clean
